22nd Feb 06 Hi Andy, I want to thank you for the excellent service recently received during our discussion about fitting a DTUK Red to my Freelander TD4 and for the superb, next day delivery. I’ve now had a chance to experience the driving difference over a variety of journey types. The car used to have a bad flat spot if you attempted to pull out from a junction without sufficient revs. That fault has now disappeared and there is no trace of the car dying on me, like previously, in the middle of the manoeuvre. The torque increase, even on the standard 11.30 setting, was immediately noticeable. It is torque, rather than outright power, that makes this product such an improvement in normal driving. After I increased the setting to the 12.30 position (at your suggestion) the car really, really, pulls. It is possible to accelerate up those long dragging hills whereas before, unless you buried your right foot in the carpet and suffered the resulting fuel consumption, it was only just possible to maintain a steady speed. Coupled with this eagerness to accelerate is the smoothness apparent whilst accelerating, it’s a whole new driving experience in the same car. This is the sort of tune that Land Rover should have put on the car in the first place! Regards, and thanks again, Roger Millin
