7th Nov 07 Andrew, Thanks for the info on Friday. Unit is now installed on standard map 2 that you set the unit 2. Only got round to fitting it on Saturday afternoon and only managed a very quick run out. On the drive to work this morning the difference is definitely noticeable smoother power delivery, more willingness to rev and definitely more overtaking get up and go. Not quite the kick-in-the-pants difference I was expecting but it is still on standard settings so now it is time for me to start dialing up the power just looking for smoke and the engine management light. I take it that if I get ?smoke? it will be very noticeable? Will let you know how the power dial up goes. Thanks Roger ——————————————————————— Andrew, I take it all back !! Must have been half asleep driving to work on Monday Took the long way driving home on Monday and the pick up and go is amazing ! In 3rd or 4th the Mondeo STDT now picks with a satisfying growl and accelerates much better than on standard settings. Overtaking power is now excellent ! Upped the power to 10% yesterday afternoon for another satisfying bit of extra go which has worked too. No smoke or engine management light and I think I might stick here and not take it up another step. Don?t want to push my luck. I?d love to put the car on a rolling road to see what the real difference is vs stock ! One bit of advice for everybody ? finding somewhere under the Mondeo bonnet to mount the unit was a bit of a job. Eventually cut out 2 small slots into the battery box lid and strapped the unit to it with a zip tie. Makes for easy connecting / disconnecting of the box for adjustment and will hopefully be well shielded from water too. Thanks Andrew Roger Foggitt
