18th Oct 10 Morning Andrew, I managed to get the VPC box fitted to my Patrol over the weekend. Wow what a difference! It’s a completely different vehicle. There is more urge at all revs in any gear and it doesn’t ‘hunt’ for gear changes as much ait used to (it’s an auto)it seems to always be sitting right on the next wave of torque rather than having to wait for the turbo to spool up, which makes it much less of a strain to drive. It even feels sprightly off-the-line which for a 2.5 ton truck is impressive. I haven’t driven it very far yet so no data on the fuel economy but if it delivers the same promise as the performance increase, I’ll be even more chuffed. I’ll be taking it back to the mountains next month so will report back on whether the box has cured the big flat spot in power when pulling out of steep uphill hairpins.. One question, I’ve routed the VPC cable loom as per the instructions and positioned the VPC in a convenient sized gap between the fuse box and the battery (should stay dry here..). I don’t suppose there will be any issues with interference/pulsing etc with it sat here? Many thanks again for your superb advice & very friendly service, I’ve already recommended you to friends & colleagues! All the best Mat
