18th Mar 13 Hello Andrew, I got the chip today. Was at home during lunch hour and Fedex happened to deliver the package conveniently at that time 🙂 Of course I could not resist the temptation and I had to fit the box before getting back to work. Overall impression about the box quality is good. Very solid and well built. Also the cables and connectors are very pro and well finished. Got the box fitted in no time and off to work. Well, I’m impressed. I did not have very high expectations (sorry no pun intended) as my current “quality” chip was multichannel one and was supposed to be very good. But boy how wrong I was. “Butt dyno” feels immediate improvement in how the car moves when you press the pedal. There’s really good improvement there and the torque starts to pickup from lower revs so the car feels much lighter to drive. There’s a about 10 km of motorway from my home to work and joining the motorway traffic was easy peasy with this. The car just drives so much lighter. Also the power delivery is incredibly smooth. And I mean INCREDIBLY SMOOTH 🙂 The multichannel box could not give this smooth delivery in power and that box monitors fuel, boost and rpm. There’s also more wheel slipping than with the default car, and that tells that there’s more power as my car has 4WD. They don’t tend to slip very easily 🙂 And this is all on default setting of 7. I can’t wait to turn it up notch or two. I knew I should’ve picked up your box instead of the ***s one. Now I have to get rid of that …. Might be hard…… There’s must be either something wrong with the ***s software map or it’s overboosting and the small turbo goes into fail state and drops the boost setting to fail-safe values. I’ve read that the turbo in these 2.0dCi engines is already quite at the maximum boost levels and there’s not much room for improvement. Thanks for a very good product and a superb customer service.
