9th Aug 09 Hi Andrew, Sorry it’s been a couple of weeks, but just wanted to say thank you for sending me the PD2 box for my Dodge Caliber 2.0CRD so promptly. I managed to fit it in under 30 minutestook the air filter off which gave me a lot of space to access the plug. I could have done it in 15 minutes except I tried to refit the air filter the wrong way around (I’m a bit hopeless with a spanner!) I’ve set the box on map 4 as the power comes on more gradually, and the graph looks like it’s been tuned by the person rather than a computer, I’m hoping this’ll put less strain on the engine? On my commute of 95% dual carriageway/motorway, the car is now doing 52mpg, up from 46. Am very happy with this 🙂 As well as my thanks, I have two questions I hope you can answer. 1. If the box is removed from the car for servicing etc, do I have to go through the calibration process again? (please remove the box before going back to your dealers, and as the box is married to your car you do not need to re-calibrate the system) 2. The engine has done 30,000 miles and is happy with the box set at max power (+30% jumper). As the unmodified engine had 140hp/320nm torque, can you estimate how much hp/torque it has now? It’s really for my curiosity as it seems to out-accelerate anything once up to speed. (on this setting, i would estimate approx 175-180bhp Andrew) Many Thanks, John Wolf
