28th Aug 15 Hi Andrew, Thanks for the help yesterday on the info for which tuning box to buy. After a long night of no sleep it finally came today at about 10 o clock even though I did order it at 2pm the day before ! On 1st looks the box looks nice & doesn’t look cheap, compared to some that I have seen before. It comes with all the instruction manual as needed which is on the website anyway. If you’ve done stuff like this before or are familiar with these sort of things the plug & play doesn’t take 2 mins to do. Its actually the cabling & tidying them up with tie wraps that takes the most time ! Once was all in place I started the car up & waiting a couple of mins before actually setting the box to what remap I wanted. Once I had waited 2-3 mins I went ahead and unlocked the box & set it to 2 + 1 Steadily drove away & at 1st there was not that much to write home about (plus the engine was cold) … Once the engine had gone to above 50-60c it all of sudden came into life !! It now goes like no tomorrow! That map is deffo the best for smooth & long end power !! It’s great!! After a quick drive round the industrial state at work and tearing up the roads, I pulled over & changed the setting to 1 + 1 (recommended by DTUK themselves & 2 + 1) The car turned into a different machine!! Its more of a savage map! It puts all the power abit lower down, but in 3rd & 4th it’s amazing ! 4th gear does well in excess of a 3 digit number 😉 but when the car was standard it struggled & lost PUFF !! I was really worried about spending too much on the box & maybe not impressing me but it certainly has!! Iv had only had it on about half a day & its brilliant! I now need to have a play & see which map I prefer which will take a week or 2. If anyone is really unsure about this box.. DON’T BE ! I would highly recommend !!
