14th Apr 07 Andrew, my birthday is in June, but like last April when I purchased the green box from you, it was better than any birthday present anyone could have given me, as was today when I fitted the CRD2. I have run with the green box for just on a year now, firstly fitting it to my Volvo V70, D5 and more recently fitting it to my new car a Volvo XC90, D5. The results with this box have been great (see my testimonial of April 2006), that is until last week when I booted the car to overtake, I had a problem, the warning light came on with the message URGENT ENGINE SERVICE REQUIRED and the car went into limp home mode. I did not give the box a thought and booked the car into Volvo, to rectify the fault, to be told you have an accessory fitted Sir, this is what is giving you the problem. They disconnected the box and relieved my wallet by ?94, for the privilege. I rang Andrew, to tell him of my plight and he informed me that I should have spoken to him first before wasting my ?94, that the box could have been tweaked down a tad and the problem would have been resolved, but as I say the box was the last thing I thought of as in nearly a year no problems had occured. He then told me about a box that he believed would suit the XC90 D5, better, as he had written some custom maps into it, this box being the CRD2. Andrew agreed to part ex my Green box for the CRD2, this was agreed and I hastily posted it off to him. 48 hours later my new box arrived (as did another Birthday present by the way) Within minutes the CRD2 was fitted and off I went to test it out, what can I say I thought that the Green box was good, but this new box blew me away, so much power the car was yet again transformed. I rang Andrew, as soon as I got back to sing it’s praises, he asked me what Map it was set on, it’s on Map 4 I stated, Andrew, explained to me how to set it to Map 1 and said you have been on the lowest power on Map 4 go and try Map 1 and ring me back. What can I say but bl**dy hell i was pleased before but now I could not believe the difference in power, I was now like a guy on viagra but have never took a tablet in my life. It is like having a box on top of a box the thing is awesome, if anyone has a green box fitted to a D5, I suggest a phone call to Andrew, and let him sell you the CRD2, I promise you wont be disappointed.
