1st Mar 14 Hi Andrew, wanted to give you a quick note, and thank you. A few weeks back I bought a PDI box to fit in my Toyota Auris 2.0 D and I must say that I love it. Just some feedback 🙂 Map 1 … granny style. gimped. will probably be someone else choice, certainly not mine. 😛 Map 2. smooth, economic, quite fun and relaxed driving with this map, missing out a bit on the higher revs sadly or it might have been my preferred map. Map 3. a bit consuming, maybe I was too tempted to push it. Didn’t drive with it for more than 2 days. Map 4. Excellent. a softie when it should be, with good enough torque at low revs, where I’ll usually stay. Also economic when not pushed, more so than unboxed. Pushing it a bit and it just goes on up in rev range, with no apparent end. If I thought the first pull was hard, it was nothing like what happened when the next shift came, pressure still high and engine still at about 2k when next gear came into action. Best of all is that during sane driving none will know, it’s just there when needed. When timed, it’s insane. I’m mainly driving on highways, and in city. 70/30 of miles and maybe 40/60 of time. The PDI box is breathing new life into a car that I’ve had for many years. Thanks.
