9th Jun 15 Hi Guys, Many thanks for giving me the benefit of your extensive knowledge and experience late last week – Not to mention a bloody good laugh. My ‘CRD-e’ arrived just before lunch on Saturday morning and, after carefully reading the instructions cover to cover, it was fitted without any bother about an hour later and yes, I even managed to get the Boost sensor in the right way round first time. Obviously, the rest of my afternoon was spent on essential testing and I haven’t had so much fun in ages. As a returning customer, a pleasant surprise for me is that the jumpers are history and have been replaced with a very convenient set of external programmable buttons and LEDs which makes adjustment a breeze. Now, in Andrew’s terms, I drive like a fanny, not like I stole it but on Saturday afternoon I put my baseball cap on backwards and gave it the beans trying all three maps at zero and +10% boost. All three maps deliver the power and torque smoothly to the drivetrain but with different personalities Map three has the most get up and go across the entire rev rage and I’ll be using this on the weekends when I’m driving for pleasure and not commuting across our speed camera infested Motorways and A roads. Maps 1 and 2 for me are more day to day commute maps. Of these two, map 1 is my personal favourite and I run this on +10% boost. The 8 speed auto box on my car seems to appreciate the lower revs of the engine and an already smooth, stock gear changes just get even better. Incidentally, Direct Line Insurance were very helpful when I spoke to them (prior to ordering) and only asked me for a £1.06 increase in my premium as their underwriters will consider tuning boxes that deliver BHP increases of
