Australia 24th Mar 11 Hi Andrew, I bought the above-mentioned unit for my VW Tiguan in April 2010. I just thought I would give you some feedback on the unit after 12 months of ownership. Overall, I am very happy with the unit. I tow a 1600kg boat and I love the extra low down torque and power the tuning box provides for this application. I have recommended it to my friends. Hopefully, Lawrence from Queensland, Australia should order the same unit for his T5 soon. He services my Tiguan and I showed him the documentation you provided and he drove my car and was impressed with the performance. After fiddling with the MAPS I finally settled on program 3 with a minus 30%. With the higher, fine tune jumper settings, I found that the accelerator was just too reactive to ensure smooth driving around town. Also, on the + fine tune settings the car was noisy and sounded like it was being over fuelled within the first minute of a cold start. The chosen minus 30% setting still gives me much better low down torque and mid range horse power without the previously mentioned disadvantages. If I was using the car for regular long trips or more highway driving, I might go up to a minus 10% setting. I love the mid range and top end power delivered by these settings, but as I said lots of cold starts, short trips and traffic work, I can live without the top end performance. I went as high as + 10% when trying it out. It was so fast it scared my wife, and the car would squat its tail and raise the nose up with the torque and acceleration. Amazing for a diesel vehicle. If you ever improve the product keep me posted as I would consider upgrading. regards Terry
