8th May 14 Hello Andy, Sorry for the slow reply, I needed to get a few miles under the Mokka’s belt before returning to you. I have now done 2,000 miles since fitting the box, during that time my actual fuel consumption has been 52 mpg, (brim to brim). I have only used BP’s Ultima Diesel and will continue to do so. Others in the Mokka forum who are bothered to calculate, (rather then use the incorrect dash display) are getting 46-48 mpg (brim to brim). Both are way off the 62 mpg Vauxhall figure, but they always are with any manufactures figures. So an improvement can be since in real world MPG of 4-6 Miles per gallon when using your CRD-t box over others with similar Mokka’s On the performance front, I put it up against my friends 735i BMW from the lights (up to 70 mph). So no lightweight competition here! The BMW lost ! I got off the line slower, pulled the whole length of the rather long 7 series back and got half a car in front. And to be frank the Mokka is has aerodynamic as a breeze block too. Mine had a full tank of fuel and my works kit in it. The BMW half a tank of fuel and the driver. Looking at the performance on paper it reads like this (Tip hat to Parkers):- BMW 735i Auto 0-60 7.3 secs Mokka 1.7 CDTi 0-60 9.7 secs So that’s a real world increase in performance of -2.4 sec’s. That still doesn’t tell the whole story, the torque is massive, it’ll roll along in 6th gear at 40 mph doing just 1000 rpm and deal with slight gradients too. I can see how the Corsa fitted with the same engine and CRD-t box can cover the 1/4 mile in 15.5 sec’s at Santa Pod, (independently reported elsewhere). I have no increase in smoke, no engine management lights, no increase in engine temperature, decreased engine noise & smoother tick over. As you know Andy I’ve used your boxes for around 6 years now, this is your best offering yet. Feel free to use this reference, I’ll stand by it. Kind regards John B
